About

June Taylor was born in London and grew up eating the food grown by her father in their garden. June studied home economics for 7 years in high school representing her formal training in the food arts. She opened her artisan company in 1990 dedicating it to hand making traditional preserves and she works year round with seasonally available fresh fruit. The process - cutting fruit, cooking, jarring and labeling - is done by hand on a scale similar to home production. A minimal amount of organic sugar is used and no commercial pectin included. Each stove top pot yields an average of eight jars. Inspiration for her work comes from studying British antiquarian preserving and confectionary books. She reviews heirloom and forgotten fruit and infuses flowers and herbs that she grows into the fruit to create innovative flavors. Recently June has introduced a new line of fruit confectionary as she explores this long forgotten craft.

Sourcing

All of the fruit June buys is grown organically or sustainably; the majority sourced directly from local farmers, many of whom attend the Ferry Plaza Farmers 'Market.
