Dave Stockdale, Executive Director
Dave is responsible for overall organizational development and coordination. He previously served as Executive Director of Hughson Botanical Garden (CA), and as Director of San Antonio Botanical Garden (TX). Additional experiences include coordinating professional and public education programs for the University of Washington Center for Urban Horticulture, managing a retail landscape nursery, serving as an agricultural extension agent, and working in horticultural therapy. Dave earned a BS in Agriculture from Purdue University and an MS in Biology from the University of Houston.

Administrative Staff
Christine Farren, Administrative and Events Manager
Christine Farren handles our fundraising events, PR, and marketing, among other things. Christine feels that shopping at a farmers market is one of the most life affirming and community building activities possible, and enjoys interfacing with numerous members of the food community here in San Francisco. She holds a BA in American Studies from the University of California at Santa Cruz.

Education Staff
Ashleigh Collier, Volunteer and Information Booth Coordinator
Ashleigh is in charge of managing our volunteer program and manning our farmers' market information booth. She received a BS in Parks and Recreation from Michigan State University before moving to California in 2002. Ashleigh loves being part of the farmers' market community and knowing the people who grow her food. In addition to working part time for CUESA, Ashleigh is a Bikram yoga instructor and an usher at the Warfield.

Julie Cummins, Director of Education
Julie has more than ten years of experience coordinating and leading education programs in the fields of ecology, open space and agricultural preservation, wise urban planning, recycling and resource conservation, sustainable living, and garden education. She has worked for a number of Bay Area nonprofit organizations, most recently Greenbelt Alliance. Julie earned a BS in Conservation and Resource Studies from UC Berkeley and is certified in permaculture design and as a Master Composter.

Twilight Greenaway, Visual and Virtual Education Manager
Twilight edits the weekly e-letter, maintains the website and produces various print collateral for CUESA. She was raised on an organic coffee farm in Kona, Hawaii and has worked in an online editorial capacity for websites such as Wiretapmag.org, Alternet.org, and Current TV. She also contributes articles to magazines and websites, including Culinate.com, Edible San Francisco, Meatpaper, and Common Ground. When she's not at the market, she can often be found gardening in her Berkeley backyard.

Sarah Henkin, Market Chef
Sarah is in charge of coordinating our Market to Table and Lunch and Learn programs and other culinary events. Sarah holds a BA in Religious Studies from Chico State University and a Culinary Arts certificate from the California Culinary Academy. Sarah's decision to turn her passion for cooking (and eating) into a career was largely inspired by her frequent trips to the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market as a shopper. The things Sarah loves most about her job at CUESA are getting to know the people who grow her food and anticipating what the seasons bring.

Market Operations Staff
Dexter Carmichael, Director of Operations
Dexter is responsible for Ferry Plaza Farmers Market operations. He has over twenty years of experience in the produce industry including working with Greenleaf Produce, Real Foods, and Whole Foods Markets where he was the National Produce Trucking Coordinator. Dexter has also been involved with various sustainable agriculture projects including the Farm-Restaurant Project, Tasting of Summer Produce, and the Steering Committee for Sustainable Agriculture.

Lulu Meyer, Associate Director of Market Operations
Lulu manages the administrative aspects and day-to-day operations of our two year round farmers’ markets. A native San Franciscan, Lulu studied at the California Culinary Academy and worked in the restaurant industry for more than ten years before coming to CUESA. Being surrounded by all of our wonderful farmers, local chefs and food savvy customers at a beautiful San Francisco landmark building is the highlight of Lulu’s week.
