Craftsman and Wolves Says Goodbye to the Farmers Market

After seven years, Craftsman and Wolves has decided to transition out of the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market. Since 2013, their stand has been a must-visit destination for locals and tourists alike, with creative, impeccably made pastries featuring produce from our farmers, each one a delicious work of art. Their last day will be Saturday, November 28.

But there’s good news! Starting next week, you’ll be able to get the Rebel Within and other C&W favorites inside the Ferry Building at the new shop, Epicurean Trader.

“I am eternally grateful to Lawrence, Ann, and all of the Craftsman and Wolves team over the years who have joined us at the Saturday market with their amazing menu of sweet and savory delights, and participated in CUESA’s events,” says CUESA’s Director of Operations, Lulu Meyer. “It has been such a pleasure to watch their evolution and growth for the past seven years. They will be truly missed, but we are so thankful we can still support them by directing their dedicated fans to pick up their favorites inside the Ferry Building from our new neighbors at the Epicurean Trader. “

We thank Craftsman and Wolves for their continued support of our farmers and CUESA, and we wish them the best! Read this farewell from Lawrence Lai, Ann Lee, and the team:

Early mornings are hard, but being at the Ferry Plaza somehow makes it easy. With views of flowers at McGinnis Ranch, leafy greens at Oya Organics, and the rainbow that is Happy Quail Farms, who can complain? Though our mornings at the Ferry Plaza are limited, our last day at the market being November 28, we hope to keep all the connections made and lessons learned throughout this adventure.

Our work with Craftsman would not be possible without the CUESA Farmers Market, from the produce central to our menu to the loving community of support. We would be nowhere without the lovely produce from Brokaw Ranch, K&J Orchards, Kashiwase Farms, Frog Hollow Farm, Tory Farm, Dirty Girl Produce, and Triple Delight Blueberries, along with many others. It has been a great pleasure serving sweet and savory pastries to everyone that has come through, and seeing all the smiles upon Kouign Amanns or chocolate chip cookies was a truly special gift. We have learned so much from the stories told by weekly market shoppers and fellow vendors. These moments will be greatly missed.

This is in no way goodbye. Starting December 2, all of our pastries will be available inside the Ferry Building seven days a week at the new Epicurean Trader shop, which is known as a local, gourmet market focusing on small-batch, artisanal food and beverages with a focus on local brands and quality craftsmanship. And of course, please come say hello anytime at our shop on Valencia Street or The Den in the Bayview! We will forever be a part of the cultivated community of love present at the market, revolving around good food and growth.

With gratitude to the entire CUESA team and all market vendors,

Craftsman and Wolves
