Treat mom to some beautiful, locally grown blooms for Mother’s Day. On the cusp between the first wave of spring flowers and the summer beauties to come, the month of May offers sweet peas, agrostemma, statice, strawflowers, watsonia, and more. We’ve created a Flower Seasonality Chart to help you get to know the availability of cut flowers and other ornamental plants at the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market throughout the year. Every year is different, and individual farms might have different harvest times, so talk to your flower growers.

To see which farms grow which flowers, click here. Visit Cypress Flower Farm, Devoto Gardens, McGinnis Ranch, Thomas Farm, White Crane Springs Ranch, and Four Sisters Farm for fresh, locally grown bouquets, and Brookside Orchids for live plants. To pamper mom, you can also find dried lavender and plant-based essential oils, salves, and body products at Eatwell Farm, and hydrosols made from flowers at Allstar Organics. Happy Mother’s Day!
