A Sunday Supper to Remember

Sunday, October 18, was an evening like no other. Local farmers and ranchers, foodies, activists, and 40 of the Bay Area’s top chefs gathered in the Ferry Building Grand Hall over fantastic food and drink for our 13th annual Sunday Supper: A Farm to City Feast. The elaborate four-course meal was a true celebration of California’s rich agricultural bounty, the lively atmosphere a testimony to the enthusiasm surrounding the collective vision of growing our sustainable food movement.

A very heartfelt thank you to all of our sponsors, guests, chefs, winemakers, brewers, bartenders, and volunteers for making this year’s Supper our best one yet. It was truly a magical evening, and because of your support, we met and exceeded our fundraising goals for Schoolyard to Market and Foodwise Kids. Thank you for your support in helping empower our next generation of healthy eaters!

Thanks as well to Amanda Lynn Photography and Drew Altizer Photography for so beautifully capturing the evening. For more photos, check out the albums on Facebook and Storify.

Chef love in the kitchen before the cooking begins! Chefs Taira Kater of Slanted Door Group, Staffan Terje of Perbacco & barbacco eno trattoria, Stuart Brioza of State Bird Provisions & The Progress, and Mourad Lahlou of Mourad & Aziza.

Chef Thomas McNaughton of Flour + Water at the grill, and one of our featured ranchers of the night, Mark Pasternak of Devil’s Gulch Ranch, checking out the open kitchen.

Guests with their bubbly strolling the red carpet alongside the action-packed kitchen.

Students from CUESA’s Schoolyard to Market program serving a dish at reception featuring herbs grown in their school’s garden.

Lively bidders donating in support of CUESA’s youth education programs. Thank you all for your generous contributions!

We couldn’t have pulled this event off without the help from our fabulous volunteers!

A resounding thank you from the staff at CUESA! Pictured here from back to front: Tessa, Christine, Marcy, Brie, Lulu, Dexter, Carrie, Kayla, and Cindy.

High fives all around for a successful event!
