Tacolicious's Guest Chef Tacos Series Returns to the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market

Taco lovers, rejoice! Tacolicious’s eighth annual Guest Chef Series at the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market begins on Thursday, June 29. Visit the Tacolicious market stand for eight consecutive Thursdays (10 am to 2 pm) to taste some of the most delicious and creative tacos around, made by the Bay Area’s hottest chefs.

Past guest chefs have included Stuart Brioza, Craig Stoll, Christopher Kostow, Thomas McNaughton, and Michael Tusk, just to name a few. Specialty tacos have run the gamut from duck confit with quince, to octopus with potato, to pork leg braised in duck fat.

Proceeds from guest chef tacos benefit CUESA’s Schoolyard to Market youth development, entrepreneurship, and gardening program. Tacolicious has generously donated more than $25,000, with help from taco-loving supporters like you.

Try Them All for a Chance to Win Delicious Prizes

All Tacolicious locations, including the farmers market stand, will be giving away Guest Chef Series “punch cards” for visitors to bring back each week. The market goers with the most punches will be entered to win a prize of CUESA tote bag filled with market goodies, $25 in market coins, a local farm tour for two, and a Tacolicious cookbook.

CUESA is a tax-exempt 501(c)3 nonprofit organization founded in 1994 to educate urban consumers about sustainable agriculture and to create links between urban dwellers and local farmers. The guest chef series benefits the Schoolyard to Market program, a youth development, entrepreneurship, and gardening program launched in January 2011. The program benefits three San Francisco Unified School District high schools: The Academy - San Francisco at McAteer, Life Learning Academy, and John O’Connell High School.
