Phyllis Grant, Elizabeth Crane, Lisa Harper, and Caroline Grant

Saturday, March 23, 2013 - 11:00am to 11:45am

Stop by the CUESA Classroom for a cooking demo and book signing featuring the seasonal bounty of the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market.

The Cassoulet Saved Our Marriage brings together deeply personal stories by parents, chefs, journalists, and food writers about what family food means to them. Caroline Grant and Lisa Harper have collected a diverse range of essays—and great recipes—about timely issues, like fostering family traditions, navigating school lunches, and managing the weekly groceries. The collection brings an intimate, meaningful dimension to the ongoing conversation about how American families eat.

Phyllis Grant and Elizabeth Crane are contributors to the book.  A former pastry cook in New York City, Phyllis Grant is the voice behind the popular “mommy” blog Dash & Bella. Elizabeth Crane is a freelance writer, caterer, and manager of the Noe Valley farmers market.

All demos take place in the CUESA Classroom (under the white tents in front of the Ferry Building) and are free to the public, with recipes and samples for all.
