Stop by the CUESA Classroom for a cooking demo featuring the seasonal bounty of the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market.

Chef Tanya Petrovna was the Founder and past President/CEO of the popular national chain of  vegan cafes called Native Foods. They began in 1994 in Palm Springs California and feature her original recipes.

Raised with a strong gourmet food foundation by her European family, she merged her love for animals, science and service into creating vegan meals that even the most hard-core carnivore could enjoy.  Tanya has a passion for people and teaching with a style that is fun and lighthearted.

Tanya Petrovna likes to drive the road less followed and excite others to come along for the ride. She resides in the California desert, making fresh tempeh, seitan and cactus candy while practicing Iyengar Yoga, writing cookbooks, and planning new travel adventures.

All demos take place in the CUESA Classroom (under the white tents in front of the Ferry Building) and are free to the public, with recipes and samples for all.
