Slow Fish Seafood Throwdown

Saturday, April 14, 2018 - 12:00pm to 12:45pm

Stop by the CUESA Classroom for a cooking demo featuring the seasonal bounty of the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market.

As part of Slow Fish 2018, CUESA and Slow Food San Francisco welcome you to the Slow Fish Seafood Throwdown, a friendly competition between two chefs, with one local “under-loved” fish and three judges, while engaging our community with sustainable seafood and fisheries. Sample the delicious creations at the end.

All demos take place in the CUESA Classroom (under the white tents in front of the Ferry Building) and are free to the public, with recipes and samples for all.

About Slow Fish 2018

Slow Fish 2018 (April 14-16) is part conference, part festival, and part seafood-stravaganza. It will feature three days of community fun, learning, and seafood deliciousness—discussions, tastings, demonstrations and knowledge exchange about our aquatic heritage. Fish harvesters, scientists, chefs, students and advocates from all across the continental North America and beyond will gather: all invested in truly sustainable seafood, ocean health and vitality, and growing awareness about our fishing communities.
