Celebrating 20 Years

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the world-renown Ferry Plaza Farmers Market. At its inception in the spring of 1993, the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market was one of just three farmers markets in San Francisco, a city which now boasts nearly 30 markets a week.

Over the years, the market has served as a key link between the city and the local food producers, supporting numerous small businesses, farmers, artisans, and chefs. It continues to play an important role in the evolution of the Bay Area’s farm-to-table movement and culinary community.
