CUESA’s Food Shed

Makes about 6 servings

1 small head of cabbage, red or green
4 cloves garlic, minced
3 green onions, chopped
1 large white onion, diced
4 tablespoons soy sauce
3 tablespoons fish sauce
Half an Asian pear, skin on
2 tablespoons white vinegar
4 tablespoons Korean hot pepper flakes
2 tablespoons sesame oil
1 tablespoon sesame seeds

Chop cabbage and place in a large bowl.

In a small bowl, combine garlic, green onion, white onion, soy sauce, fish sauce, vinegar, hot pepper flakes, and sesame oil. Grate the half Asian pear over the bowl. Taste dressing and adjust seasoning.

Pour dressing over cabbage and stir to combine. Sprinkle with sesame seeds just before serving.
