History
Part of San Francisco’s famous Bi-Rite Market and the Bi-Rite Family of Businesses, Bi-Rite Creamery was started by two bakers who wanted to bring San Francisco perfectly balanced, delectably delicious treats in a responsible, sustainable way. They develop intensely flavored ice cream recipes that feature locally-sourced ingredients.
Bi-Rite Creamery is bringing its solar-powered ice cream truck to the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market on Saturdays. Market visitors can enjoy Bi-Rite’s most popular ice cream flavors, ice cream sandwiches, or popsicles.
Sourcing
Bi-Rite’s ice cream is made with Straus Family Creamery dairy or coconut milk. Flavors often highlight the season’s tastiest fruits like Masumoto Family Farms’ peaches, and handmade inclusions such as the snickerdoodles for Ricanelas and the chocolate cookies in the Cookies and Cream. Future menu additions are expected to include Ferry Plaza exclusives crafted in collaboration with local farms.
