About
A participant in La Cocina’s food business incubator program, Guadalupe Moreno started Mi Morena, a tacos de guisado business, to offer San Francisco diners traditional tacos with quality ingredients and handmade tortillas, including chicken, beef, pork, and vegetarian options. “De guisado” refers to the homemade stewed fillings, and her dishes are rooted in the cuisine of her home of Mexico City. Originally from Mexico D.F., her passion for cooking stemmed from inheriting her “Sazón” (flavor) from her mom and strives to achieve owning a Mexican food business on her own.
Sourcing
Mi Morena sources their vegetables, fruits and tomatoes from Mission Community Market and other farmers markets.
Fun Fact
Guadelupe started out at El Huarache Loco, which is her sister-in-law’s restaurant (also part of La Cocina) before opening her business.
