Make your farmers market shopping list! Here’s what’s in season this January:

Returning, plentiful, and at their peak (weather willing):

Arugula, fennel, cabbages, kiwi, nettles, leeks, lettuces, pea sprouts, green garlic, blood oranges, collard greens, subtropical fruits, tulips, flowering branches, Page mandarins, winter squash, onions, spinach, lemons, radishes, grapefruit, cruciferous vegetables, chicories, root vegetables

Winding down or only available in limited supply:

Potatoes, pastured eggs, Brussels sprouts, persimmons, pears (available from cold storage only at this time)
